Mission 3 Methodology:Digital Journalism

BLOG 1 PROCESS The third and final project was called Methodology. For this mission we were going to have to make a video where Shaun was going to play in the lecture for the year to watch. The video will have to be 5 minutes long and Shaun would make a compilation of all the videos in one video.So instead of doing a presentation of our project it will be in video format.The video will be played in the final lecture before the end of the semester. Before picking a mission I looked through them all to see which one I would be best at doing and where my strengths would come in place.The missions I could pick from where networks, image visualization, mapping,text analysis and digital journalism. They all seemed a bit hard to do and I was not sure where to start. So before I started I read through the description of each and tried to come up with an idea for at least one that would work in a video format. Mission 2 Culture:Selfies

                                                                        BLOG 1 PROCESS Before I picked an assignment for the second mission I had to look through each assignment and pick one that I thought I wold enjoying doing and would work to my fullest potential. The second mission was called culture. The assignments I could pick from were memes, blogging, activism and agency, personal data tracking, internet of things, augmented reality, youtubing, digital privacy, online hate and harassment: the trouble with trolling, working for the web, wikipedia and selfies. For each topic I went through the description with it and the work that would have to be carried out for it and what needed to be done for the topic.For each topic in my my lab with Helen I went through each one and wrote out what work would have to go into the each part of the topic.
